Gauging interest ORCA systems skimmer

I recently purchased an Orca Systems skimmer, great skimmer but really more than I need. I have only had it for a couple weeks, it was $455 new including shipping. It will come with an extra pump body. I normally dont do the "gauging interest" thing, but I would really prefer to sell this local and not mess with shipping, so I wanted to see what local interest there was in this. This skimmer could easily handle 200+ gallons, it is 8.5" in diameter and stands roughly 24" tall, produces a ton of bubbles. I am asking $400 for it picked up and will even throw in a few SPS frags.

PM me if interested.

Thanks,

They dont really have ratings on the webpage, I will contact them to see what is recommended, I think it could handle 200-250gallons easily. It can be used externally I think, I have not glued any of the plumbing yet so I dont know for sure. I dont know the exact dimensions, but you would need roughly a 16" x 16" area for it with all the plumbing.

Heres a pic of it in action:

Allen,

This is the second time you have done this to me with a skimmer. I really wanted your Deltec AP600 and now I would really like to have the Orca and I have about 200 gallons now. Can't do it now though. Are you planning on selling anymore skimmers this spring or summer?? That is when I plan to upgrade. By the way, I thought you bought a new Deltec to replace the Ap600?

I don't plan on selling anymore soon, I actually bought a BK mini after the Deltec, way oversized for my tank. I will most likely get a small Deltec again if I can find a good deal on a used one. The Orca really is an awesome skimmer for the price, just more than I really need.

Bump

I am going to give this another go locally. Price is $350, including the frags thrown in. This skimmer would be perfect for a 120-135 gallon tank plus sump(about 180-200gallons total), possibly a little more depending on your bioload. Only a few weeks old, comes with an extra pump body. BTW, the pump is essentially an Octo 3000, so easy and economical to replace parts if ever needed.

This will be my final offer before moving this to the main selling forum.
The skimmer was $450 new w/shipping, includes the extra pump body, about a $40 value, up to 6 SPS frags worth at least $60, so about $550 worth of stuff. Plus the air intake is a little noisy, I have an air silencer on the way from Orca Systems that will go with it.

All this for $300!! Local pick up only.
