I bought this GTBA almost a week ago, brought it home and it attached to a rock right away. Over the next 24 hrs it decieded to move, no big deal figured it would. It just move to be back side of the rock and stayed there for 3 days. Again not a big deal figured it was getting used to the tank. Now today when i got home i went to check in on hime and couldnt find him. When i did end up finding him he was in the corner overflow almost completely split in half. Funny thing was he is still attached to the glass. This leaves me to believe he is splitting on his own and not done by one of the k4s in the tank. What should i do? Leave him in there for a couple days till its healed? Move back to display tank? He still looks healthy...

thanks

Does your overflow have "teeth"? If so, I'm betting that's how the injury occurred. You have a choice: either leave the BTA in the overflow to let it heal more and hope it doesn't end up further down the overflow (including all the way into the piping), or you could further aggravate it and move it back to the tank (the good thing is, BTAs are easy to remove from glass with one of your fingernails).

If it was me, I'd move it back into the main tank, but I'm pretty comfortable handling BTAs. But, it's your choice.
