GBTA hiding in the shade for days

Hi. I have a new small GBTA that's been in the tank for almost 2 weeks. the GBTA moved around on the 2nd day under a flat rock which is 100% shaded. It's been there for 8 days now.

At what point should I force it out with a powerhead? I'm afraid it's not getting enough food in the dark. It's not eating either.

I have another RBTA for months and it's been doing great. Eating a lot.. About 8" fully expanded

Are you running different lighting than the tank it came from? If so did you light acclimate it? I changed from halides to t5s and my rose stayed hidden for weeks after even with acclimation. Keep an eye on it for the next couple days

I have a new one I brought home about 2 weeks ago now and it moves into the complete shade and back out about every 12-20hrs...goofy thing.

It went from t5 to kessil led. Didnt turn down the led, but did place it at the bottom area. With some shade from the roof its attsched to currently

Give it another week or so to acclimate. The light from the t5s versus a Kessil led system is dramatically different. Let it be for a bit and watch it. I would wager it stays where it is. And creeps out by inflating it's stalk within the next few days.

i have the same problem with my anemone. i have two and they both do the same thing where they go to where they first got and the last three month i have been moving hem just so they go back. i do no know what to do. they do not look too hood. they keep closing up. i thought it was the parameters since i have some nitrate. i do not know if i should move it to the other tank ( new cycled tank). if anyone can give me an idea,
thank you

Not sure what to do still... the anemone came out a few days ago slowly.. It climbed halfway out, basically showing some testicles to the light. After 2 days, it went back down again. Now it's completely retracted..

any ideas?? I'm going to leave it alone and monitor it over the weekend.. think it's about time I flip the rock over? let it get some light? I can easily flip that piece of rock, but it will be 100% revealed to the light.

yes. tank has been up for a little over 6 months.. my RBTA is fully expanded and eating

parameters are perfect:

SG: 1.025
Alk: 8.4
Cal: 450
Mag: 1350
Temp: 80-81

I guess I'll wait a few more weeks? just afraid it's not getting enough food.

When it's open you can squirt it with some finely minced mysis or the like. From what I've read, they get enough food from the water column as you feed the other fish.

Eventually, it should adapt to the light and move towards it. As long it is attached, opening, not discharging too much gunk, it'll be ok on its own.

I just treated mine, went south fast because of an ammonia spike. Now its attached, 100% bleached, been hiding for about 3 weeks in a high flow area under the rocks. Over the last week, it has shifted to get more light each day and I can see some green again on the tips. Just be patient and work with it. It'll find the best spot for itself.
