gbta problem

I have had this gbta for 2 months now and am having this problem it looks like the pic, now the pic is not mine but looks just like it . tank is a 72 bow front and am running 457 watts of pc, asm g2 and around 28x flow and 29 gal fuge, 110 lbs live rock

phosphate 0

alk 11

I have pair false perc that are not hosting,i feed mysis, silversides and ocean plankton every 3 days. it has not moved since i got it. mouth is tightly closed, its tentiicals are sticky. any ideas how i can make this thing happy

It is either warfare between it and another coral or something is nibbling on its tenticles, usualy clowns are the culprit.
Do you have any emerald crabs in the tank?
Do the clowns ever get close?
Take a flashlight at night and look around in the tank and at the anemone and see if anything is bothering it.

the male does go near it , I do have an emerald but he's down in the fuge and I have moon lights but its hard for me to watch the tank at night because i work the graveyard shift maybe this weekend I can watch and thanks for your help its my first anemone

Ok, check out the night time inhabitants and see what is up, when was your last water change?
What do you keep tyhe temp at?
Anemones like around 78 degrees.

Karen, where is that from? I always thought that keeping the water as close to "reef temperatures" 80+ was prefered. My anemones seem happiest around 83.

last water change was last sunday i do 25% every sunday with ro/di temp stays 78-79 and there are no corals within 8 inches

my temps always 82-83 and my bta is looking pretty good

I have always kept my tanks at 78 degrees.
Any higher and I get algae growth on the glass, the pretty green kind
Guess it came from me. As it is what I have found works best for me.

ok so I watched the tank at night all weekend and saw one of my cleaners picking at the baser of the gbta he only did for maybe 5 min. could this be what is making it look funky?
