Maybe look at some eco led bulbs on the big auction site..this way you can just put the spotlight bulb right above the nem for more light . They are pretty awesome for this purpose and they only cost i believe $95 new.. That would help IMO much better for your purpose.. I wish i had some spare lights lying around i could send ya...

Thanks for the thought, anyway.
I'd thought about the bulbs, but the strips are modded into a hood and much more practical for me, so it's going to need to be either another of the same or one of these options-

a) plug one of the 12" inch Pro TrueLumen 50/50 strips into the third space on the adapter, or b) would one 50/50 Pro strip and one actinic Pro strip be enough since they're higher powered?
