Why is half my gbta have its bubbled tips and other half straight?

I have one that did that for 3 or 4 months, now all of it is straight.Nobody really knows and each one differant.Some say long tentacles mean it's hungry for light or food,not all true. They will stay long after I feed, and my light is plenty for them. Hope this help.

Its one of those unsolved mysteries of reef keeping. I have had one for about 1.5 years. About 6 of those month it was a long tentacle. Most of the times its got bubble tips though. Its weird.
