I was at lowes looking at led builds do some of my home lamps and noticed LED floods. I know that a lot of guys are starting to use them over on monsterfishkeepers.com and was wandering about how they would work on a SW reef. I'm not trying to grow anything crazy. I'll still run 2 actinics but I'm thinking about adding two or thee of these floods. They are dimmable and come in several different styles. I would probably use the 3x3w type.

To be honest I would probably look at tearing one open and hard lining it into my 2 bulb T5 fixture. I would add sinks and fans as well. I like my light and would like to just add to it. Not replace it.

They are very yellow. Better for FW or a rufugium. You may find it hard to balance the yellow with your current actinic lighting. It will add PAR and will grow corals.

They have several different wavelength bulbs. This one is saposed to be "natural" sun. I'm running 1 6500k and 1 420 actinic now and I like the look. I'll try one bulb in a shop light fixture and see how it looks. I can always use the bulb in my shop if I don't like it.

It will work, But you will need to work on spread as well.

Here is the 6000K I tried:

I'm going to buy one. Brake it down and see what I cam make of it. I think it's s good cheep sorce for LED. Just needs someone to figure it out.

My GF suggested them on pendants for when we do our 150G at her place. I like the idea. Just not sure how to get actinic in there. I saw an actinic flood a little while ago but it's Omer $150 each and I would want a phew most likely.
