Are you guys able to order a Geismann Spectra lighting pendant?

I'm looking for the 48" version with the MH/T5 combo.

I'd also like to get it with 175watt ballasts instead of the 400watt. Is this possible?

thanks!

I'm also interested in these if possible:

Geisemann Infinity 2x150watt (instead of the 250watt)

Sunlight Supply Maristar 2x150watt (instead of the 250watt).

Thanks!

Hi,
We have this model on order, hoping to come in a few weeks.
48 in SPECTRA 2 x 250 Watt HQI - 4 x 54 Watt T-5 - black $1645

We are only getting it in 250w though, sorry.

On the Maristar, SUnlight discontinued there 150w, so they only offer a 250w now as well.

Hey jason, anyway you can order the bare spectra that only comes with the t5 ballast, converter, and plugs?

Hi,

Sorry, no word yet, but often takes them couple days to get back with us.

Ok sounds good.

Do you have any ballpark idea of the price of this unit so I have something to go by? I talked with a few others who've said they've wanted to order through PA before for the same setup, so I was hoping there may be some record of past prices.

Thanks!!

Hi,

Basically take off $100 for each component you do not want (i.e. halide ballast and halide bulb).

The Spectra's can be ordered in pretty much any configuration you want, and any color you want, including customs. If you choose not to go with any halide ballasts the unit will come to you with just pigtails, so you can hardwire any ballast you choose... Icecap, Coralvue, PFO, Blueline, Sunlight, etc.

All of the Spectra's are a special order, and will ship direct from Germany to your door via UPS. Shipping is pretty steep doing this, roughly about $175 - $225. Total shipping time is about 4wks, unless you go with a custom color, that pushes to about 6-8wks.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Why do you want a different ballast on the Spectra?
I have the 400W + 4*24W T5 and all I can say is that the quality of the ballast and the housing is absolutely fabulous.
The only slightly annoying thing is that 5 second noise when the metal halide starts, but after that it is dead quiet.

I want to run 175watts for a few reasons:

1. Save money
2. My tank is only 20" deep, water level is about 2 inches lower than that so only 18" deep
3. I love the Iwasaki 15K 175watt Mogul lamp color and PAR numbers equal that of a 250watt, more on an electronic icecap. So no need to go to 250watt, and definitely no need to goto 400watt. It's just a smarter choice.
4. I have brand new Iwasaki 15K lamps already =/

are the lamps on the spectra still moveable like the infiniti's? i'm assuming probably not much room for movement because of the bigger bulb and reflectors. if so how much side to side?

This is what I got back from them.

No, the Reflector on the Spectra are not movable due to their size. They are designed for Mogul based bulbs.

Hope that helps. If you need anything else just let us know.

Michelle
