Gem Tang wanted!

Hello. I’m quite new to the hobby. I bought a pretty nice tank Red Sea reefer Max 450 G2+ which is 90 gallons. I would love to have a Gem tang and yes I know they are astronomically expensive. That said, is 90
Going to be too small?

Agree, 90 is too small for Gem, its an active swimmer and aggressive fish and will likely not last long in small tank or kill everything else before dying

Do you think a Purple tang would be better suited? I really wanted one type of this species

Gem Tangs get HUGE! I have a 90 gallon with a small Scopas Tang and he's doing great! Mellow guy!! May I suggest one or perhaps a Tomini Tang or a Kole Tang??? They don't get very big and also have a good temperament.
