Currently have an IWaki and a blueline backup 40 RLT, added a UV and now am down on flow about 500 GPH w/ my single 92 corner overflow, looking to replace with 3/4 in/out seems the only pump that will increase my flow suffiently is a Mak 4, which according to the head calculator should get me back up to over 600 GPH,, They are cheap enough but wondering about how loud and how reliable they are compared to my Iwaki or blueline HD 40... Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks Chris

I have never had one, but I have heard the the Gen-X pumps are louder then iwaki or Pan World (Blueline) pumps.
Why limit yourself to 3/4" input/output??

Actually, if you have only 1 overflow, and I assume with a 1" drain, you are limited to about 600 GPH max anyway. I would the recommend adding additional flow with power heads or a closed loop.
Thanks, I have a seio 1100 for additional flow for a total of around 1,500 GPH, plus a rio 1400 running my remora pro. just would like the max output from my 1" supply and 3/4 return, as a direct replacement of the Iwaki, hence the Mak 4, has the flow and head curves to put me back up over 600 gph..
