Some personal observations on the new Wireless Controller Generation 2 Upgrade.
At noon today I received the 1st Wireless Controller with Generation 2 upgrade. I was asked to learn it, how to program it and become familiar with it.
Findings- It was so simple to program and upgrade a second controller that it took me all of 5 minutes to do. All it requires is to read the instructions which are very clear, be able to hold down a button and count to 10. Yes its that simple.
So anyone getting the new upgraded Generation 2 Controller you could be very popular with friends, neighbors, and other Reef Club members by offering to do their upgrade for them. After following the simple steps, actual programming takes roughly 3 minutes.
Now for the new and improved magnet. I also received a batch of the new ones today also. I have to say it is a drastic improvement and very impressive. It is coated so as to never rust or corrode and has a replacement teflon type screw and nut. It also has a new wet frame cover. I had several pumps awaiting service that required a new magnet so the new ones were used. All the wet sides with the new magnets actually ran smoother and quieter than before. I can not prove it was all due to the new magnet but I saw a very noticeable difference. I can see a lot of time, research and energy was put forth in developing this improvement.
For anyone who has already sent in a pump, controller, or wet side for repair or the upgrades, I should have everything shipped back out Monday if I have already received it. If you are sending one in expect a 2-3 day turn around time.
