Genicanthus melanospilos

I added a blackspot swallowtail angel to my display almost two weeks ago, and she's beginning to show signs of ich (a white spot on one pectoral fin, near the tip of the caudal fin, and on a ventral fin.

All of the fish were quarantined for at least two weeks before being added to the display. My current fish:

2x Firefish (had the tank to themselves for six months with no signs of any disease).
1x Court jester goby (Amblygobidon rainfordi) - not qt'd, requires sand and live food. No signs of ich.
1x Swallowtail angelfish (no signs in qt or acclimation, or during the first two weeks of his life in the dt).

There is nothing to stress her; if anything, she should be more calm now that she's had some time to settle in. I soak her food in Brightwell Aquatics Vitamarin-C, Vitamarin-M (multivitamin), and Garlic Power (pure garlic). She eats like a pig and has been active since within five minutes of introduction. Even ate freeze-dried cyclopeeze in acclimation. I mix up feeding her PE Mysis (Hikari), Angel Formula (mysis, krill, sponges, etc.; also Hikari), Plankton (SFBB), and bbs (SFBB) as a treat. All are frozen foods, thawed, rinsed and vitamin-soaked.

I wouldn't worry about a couple of ich spots. Keep her well fed and keep adding those vits. Once established, they are very hardy.

How much should I be feeding her? I give her a whole cube of whatever food thawed under running water in a brine net (with the tiny holes) since she doesn't actively see out the food. I always see shots of peoples' fish coming up to the net (or their hand) at feeding time looking for food. Mine just swims around as if nothing is going on and takes any food that comes within a few inches of her, so I give her a whole cube to make sure she gets plenty to eat. I try to mix in the SFBB plankton when I can because the firefish will eat that.

My angel loves some spirulina algae, try mixing several different cubes together and feed a little at a time. Refrigerate the rest...
