Dont know if you will be able to help or not but I recently had a little spill in my stand. My return pump (Genx-5) was in about 2 inches of water for about 5 minutes. I immediately turned it off and dried it out and it still pumps fine. However, it sounds like the fan shaft may have lost some grease and was noisier. I sprayed some WD-40 on it and it worked for a little while but didnt seem to last. Any suggestions on a grease or something else?
