Geo Aqua Silencer, anyone using one?

I need to replace my dual durso standpipes, not due to noise, but height. The ends of the stick up about 2-3" above my overflow box. I had to make them this tall so that the overflow was completely silent and it is. The bad thing is that the durso's sticking up really mess up my screen top which is needed as I have a few wrasse and anthias.

I'm considering a couple of these, tank has two drains and two returns. If anyone is using them can you offer some advice or photos of them? Do your's rise above the overflow box or are they noisy at all?

Looking for some info before giving Premium Aquatics more of my cash!

I have one it does sit over the overflow box, you can lower it but you will have water falling faller hence more noise. I sit my cally wampus becasue if it sit it on the pipe it makes too much noise I never got the air tube correct probably needed a vavle on my return pump for better control. The way I have it is quite.

About how far above the overflow box do they protrude? I would love to have the standpipe completely hidden from view. I do have valves on my returns, maybe that would help.

I've researched a couple of others, like the silent overflow system. Just not sure if I trust the set up of it.

Mines about an 1 1/2'' it is adjustable

Where did you see the GEO silencer? I am looking for the quietest option out there for my build. I just started my plumbing and the tank I purchased uses an old school mesh pipe. Im not sure this is the best solution. Lol

It is either Reef Specialty or Premium Aquatics where I bought mine.

Ok Thanks. I actually am very lucky and live very close to GEO. I had them make a custom sump and other items. I just called and had them make me a couple. Now I have to figure out what I just ordered. Lol.

I was in am situation winforddenning. The mess pipes will be noisy for what I wanted. Most people replaced the mesh pipes with a quieter solution "durso pipe" or like im planning on doing....a muffler/silencer. Google durso pipe and you can see a DYI plan.

Thaats the one I got Steve. There is two PVC pipe one gray and another white they are about the same length also, the gray slides over the white one. The cup is about the height of a soda can.
