GEO Kalk Reactor Set-up Help Please

I'm trying to get my kalk reactor going but i'm running into a problem. The reactor is sitting above the sump and is being fed from a LMIII. The output of the reactor goes straight down into the sump. But after the dosing pump shuts off, the kalk still flows.

How is this to be set up correctly?

i would suggest that the reservior that feeds the reactor is lower than the waterline that feeds reactor....that way, it cannot create a siphon on the waterline....

or make sure the return on the reactor is not submersed in the water....i would suggest having the reactor lower than the sump that way when the feed pump turns off you are working against gravity and the water is forced back into the reactor, again making sure the return line is not in the water...

i hope i explained it right

I believe I got it figured out. I replaced the effluent 90 provided and put in a JG fitting, then ran RO tubing to the sump. This seems to have solved the problem. The supplied tubing is a little bigger, but not sure why that would be a problem.

if the reactor is above your sump it's siphoning.

i'd get a speedfit T to be safe. install it right where the reactor effluent is. one side goes to your sump. the other to some tubing that goes vertically so it acts like a siphon break.
