Geo Nielsen Reactor questions

Hello Jeremy,
I would like to get one of these units, but have limited space available in cabinet. The space I have available is approx. 6.5" X 12" foot print size, height is not an issue. Your site lists the foot print as 7"x12". From the pictures it looks like the base could be trimmed slightly to get it to 6.5". It does not list reactor tube diameter. Is this possible and what about the top is it also 7" wide? I doubt it is poss. to trim top, if so. Can I make this reactor work or should look to other options, feel free to offer suggestions. Also, does the LiterMeter3 make a good pump to use with kalk reactors?

Thanks,
Rob

Hi,

If you don't mind cutting on a brand new kalk reactor :) you should be able to trim it down just enough to make it fit. The base plate is the piece that you will be cutting on. The chamber and top would not be a problem for you.

We do have these units in stock.

Thanks,
Jeremy

I do hate to cut on a brand new reactor, but don't have much choice. Space in my cabinet is very limited. Will be placing an order.

Thanks,
Rob

I got my reactor today. Very nice looking unit. However, I'm not sure I can make it work or not. The base plate is actually 7.5" wide even though your site and the GEO site lists it at 7". The biggest concern I have is the top. It is 8" in diameter. Wish you would have let me know this before hand when I asked. I have not decided what to do yet. I'm trying to figure out a way to use it because it is a nice looking piece of equipment and would like to keep it. If I decide I can't use it, can I return it? I have not modified it or used it in any way.

Thanks,
Rob
