Ok, I have had enough of the coralife ca+ reactor and it still not working worth a ... well you all know.

I am going to try my best to chase down a group that can donate some funds to my class

So I am trying to come up with an exact amount that I would need.
At Salty the 618 does not come with a supply pump nor do they recommend one on that page

would a couple of you that are running the geo 618 ca+ reactor let me know what supply pump you are using and if it seems to fit your needs oK.

as always; thanks in advance for your time

David

Nice, you can not go wrong with a GEO.:D Geo typycally recommends a MaxiJet 1200. I used this on my 624 and now on my 818...works well.

I gravity feed mine from the return pump to my main tank, just t-ed it off put a gate valve on it hooked up my phospate reactor and my carbon reactor and my ca reactor all off the same line. Works great and one less pump.

When I first got it I used a maxi jet 1200 as well.

I feed mine via a T on a return pump. I used a maxi-jet 1200 flawlessly for years prior to that though. I BELIEVE that the GEO's come with the adapter already setup for a maxi-jet pump (3/8th or 1/2" or whatever size tube it is), but don't quote me on that.

The do come with all the fittings to sleeve right over the nozzle on the MJ 1200. I just set up a 624 last Monday.

Thanks guys!! Wish me luck with my letter writing. I hate going this route but Just don't see another practical solution. Just about every fund raiser has been a dud, even our candy bar sales. Signs of the times I guess

PM your school's mailing address and the name of the reactor fund and C/O stuff and I'll send you a donation to get you started.

Sign of the times or not. In the reefing community with the idea of promoting the hobby via upcoming little reefers....I cannot see why $5 to $10 is such a big deal when folks are buying fish and corals that run $100. Anyway, send info Dave and I'll kick you out something towards a good cause.

Mike

Guys I am really touched: this is not at all what I was aiming for but I will certainly pm each of you that is interested
