geometric hawkfish dies after WC

this is kinda odd to me. i havent had this happen before with fresh or my saltwater yet. i have had a small geometric hawkfish for about a month now and he was finally getting comfortable with the tank, coming out often, eating all the good stuff. well i did a small water change on my tank and it went into hiding. this was about 2 days ago. today i find him on his side dead in the rock. are they overly sensitve to swings in water quality or anything like that. the other fish and coral in the tank is just fine and dandy. everything looks great. the inverts are even fine. just curious if these can be hard to keep or if this one was just a gimp. it was pretty small, under an inch long so maybe the juvi's are harder to keep??

when i got mine he was about an inch . i try to do a 10 gal waterchange every week but sometimes every 2 or 3 but he always acts the same.

The water change may have merely been a coincidence given that you had only had the fish for one month.
