Geometric hawkfish plectranthias inermis experience

Hi as above anyone kept this species? Have one who's spent the last 2 months in qt with a starkii damsel and has done well. Been in the display for a few days and hasn't really moved from it safe little corner. I know they are supposed to be fairly secretive but this is under some coral and not in the rockwork. Still feeds and nothing is bothering it, although the same can't be said for the poor starkii who's been chased by my female perc and indigo dotty pair. Maybe thats whats giving the plectranthias an easy ride.
Would love to hear long term experience with the species though.

TIA

The behavior you described is typical-they will find a few spots where they are comfortable- perch and feed from those spots. I currently am keeping two of them in different tanks with the oldest being six years and the other is going on 3. They're not the most aggressive eaters but will get enough. Not to worry.

I kept one for a few years and what you describe is pretty typical. One day it totally disappeared, I was bummed.

Thanks. If it stays where it is i'll be happy but i have a feeling its going to be a rare sight. Thats not a huge problem because i've always liked at least one fish you have to search for in a tank as it makes you look harder, so you notice more.

This might be my favorite fish that I own. +2 on normal behavior with yours. He will come out more over the next six months or so.
