Almost 6 million gallons. The grid on the tank is a reference point for the divers to know where they have polished the acrylic. Its been scratched from the tails of some of the sharks.

There are over 100,000 fish in the big tank. Most of them being Pilot fish. It was awesome watching the schools of them swim around.

Where abouts in Ga. is this located? Got to be close to the ocean where they can use filtered ocean water. We've got to visit sometime. 100,000 fish. That's impressive.

It is in Atlanta. But they dont use any natural sea water. And the 100,000 is just in that one tank.

Forgot to post my favorite ones earlier.

I had to shrink all these to fit them on here. If anyone wants the high resolution pics feel free to ask. And I have a ton more.

That's a heck of a lot of Instant Ocean.... ;)

Do I hear "COMAS Road Trip"???

That might not be a bad idea.......
Anyone up for it, this summer?

Ray

That'd be a whole lot of fun......too bad it isn't closer. A shorter road trip could be to the Dallas World Aquarium. We could try for another behind the scenes tour...

Now we know where all the money we spend on pvc, valves, etc. goes to. That has got to cost a lot of bank. I believe the guy who owns Home Depot gifted this to the people of Georgia if I remember right.
