So I was in Atlanta for business this past week and had a few hours to kill so I dragged my collegue to the aquarium with me. I had been but not in 4 years.
Well it has changed some. A few cool things and a few things that I didnt feel great about.
My 2 biggest peevs would be the 2 beluga whales they have. They do a lap in a bout 45 seconds with no effort, way to small.
The second would be the touch pool they have FULL of cold water anemones, with no extra lighting.
Other than that it was a cool trip. My favorite addition since the last time I was there would have to be the huge marine display they have. Sure is nice to see some fish at their adult size in a tank they can move in. Cant beleive how many yellow tangs they have in it though. Couple nice sized orange shoulder tangs and large angels.
I think the trip convinved my collegue to look into getting a small marine setup.
If you are in the area I suggest a trip to the aquarium. Its worth the $27 and 2 hours to go through.
