get it in befor they fix it.

description is just the bulb but title and picture on the page and invoice say retro kit. somebody put the wrong title/pic or description. Either way the invoice is proof of purchase and it says complete kit.
 
Some poor guy at PetCo will probably lose his job after they have to honor 100 of these ordered...lolz.
 
mine went thru...they fixed the price....pretty sure i just got a nice score :)

Yeah, I agree. I just ordered mine and by looking at the invoice it sure looks like the whole kit to me. I think they will have to honor it. I took screenshots as suggested on the other thread.

If this is anything like the PS3 fiasco about 5 months ago, don't expect to be getting these. There was a mistake to where Amazon listed PS3's at 29.99 because of a typo, and well lets just say they caught the error a couple of days later, gave full refunds and apologized to everyone that ordered one.

I'm guessing this is what's going to happen. I envision a bunch of refunds instead of super cheap lighting systems. Of course, if I'm wrong, look for Tiff's assessment above.
 
Yeah I jumped on one just in case, then read that Amazons T&C clearly states that they don't have to honor ad mistakes....canceled order.

Ok, if they ship these at all. What they're likely to do is just cancel the orders at incorrect price and refund money. Doesn't matter what screencaps you have. Sucks, but that's the gamble when exploiting an obvious pricing mistake.
 
No, I just logged into my account and hit the "cancel order" button. Maybe I caught it before it went to processing??? I don't know?? Wish, I had more to offer you.

B - someone in that other thread said they called them to cancel it BECAUSE the person they talked to said that Petco will only refund the price of the item and not shipping once the BULB is shipped.
 
Thanks, yeah mine is processing I'll call petco to cancel the order. I'm not willing to take the gamble yet when I can use the $ to set up my ATO. I'm tired of lugging water around. It's funny, the longer your in this hobby the lazier I get...errr is it smarter LOL.

This was my thoughts as well. After thinking about it I wouldn't really have a use for the kit for the new tank I am setting up anyway...lol.... wasn't worth the risk to me. I figure I will have no problem spending the money elsewhere.
