Getting a custom tank

joe 's stands are a huge asset in western ny. i built custom furniture for years, i couldn't diy for what he charges. advance acyrlics has some nice deals on ebay
 
Well the mp10 will give them a good amount of flow.. and it will circulate the whole tank.. But now that i JUST sold my 75 gal.. idk if i want to get back into it :(
 
The MP10 is probably my favorite piece of equipment ever purchased in this hobby... they transfer no heat/electricity into the aquarium, push almost 2,000 GPH, have endless flow patterns and the in-tank footprint is about a third of any other powerhead. I believe that flow is one of the most important aspects of a closed reef system, and a Vortech gives you full control of that. Most of the nicest tanks I have ever seen have a strong emphasis on flow, and a large majority of them rely on Vortech pumps to accomplish that. JMO!

yeah definatly with the mp10 and a digital aquatics controll should start me off on the right foot.. hopefully.. thats all depending on how much this custom tank is going to charge me.. if its more than 250... i might be second guessing it/ or reading up on how to do some DIY work
 
So is the order in for the tank? My personal opinion for the stand is DIY projects are fun and the accomplishment feeling after can't be beat! Joes stuff is awesome but, if I can make it my-self I do, not to save money but to learn :)
 
well.. the lfs that i asked for them to get the tank made is still yet to give me a quote.. i guess i'll call them now and see whats going on :(
 
ok so once you get the quote, compare it to AA on ebay. Like I said and you saw, he makes some awesome tanks! He will make any size all you gotta do is ask (that is unless you want it to be made out of glass) :)
 
oh okay, so i can email him or something? because if he can make the whole thing with the in tank sump that would be awesome
 
yeah he does AIO tanks. Go to ebay, in search type in "frag tank" all of his stuff will come up, pick the one you like, then contact him through ebay about customizing the dimensions. Also, his real price is considerably lower than "buy it now" price. I would just ask him straight up for the best deal.
