I've got a haddoni carpet anemone coming. I've done some reading, but don't want to loose it, so give me advise to keep it happy and healthy.

Most of you know my tank, but just in case you don't...
300 gallon table tank
4 400w metal halides
about 6000 gph of intermittent water motion
crushed coral rubble (this may be a problem as carpets like sand)

what ever else you what to know that is related to the nem?

Please give it to me as I am exited to get this nem for my two tomato clowns.

Be ready for him to move around to find the spot he likes, He most likely won't move again unless you make a major lighting or flow change.
If you have never handled one be ready! They are really sticky and can be damaged if handled to much.
It's one of those deals where you get it stuck on your hand so you try to use the other hand to get it off only to have it stuck to both hands!
Maybe you can acclimate it in the bag then drain the water and place him in the tank bag and all.

They are also known fish eaters. I bought a Fridmani Pseudochromis for $30 and after a week in isolation I released him in the tank, I was worried he woudn't get along with his tank mates but nothing bothered him for a few days then he went MIA...Sure enough the carpet spit out a nice purple ball later that day.
I also lost a Foxface and a Bicolor Angel over the two years or so that he was in the tank.

I was going to put the bag and all in the tank, poke holes in the bottom, and open the top to let him out at his pace. I was also going to get gloves.

Not too worried about the fish in the tank. I have clowns, yellow tangs, and damsels. Tangs should know enough to stay away, we'll see, and damsels were cheap.

Bought some smaller crushed coral today. Stuff without sharp edges. Says coral sand, but is larger that the sand I've seen in tanks. Kind of medium size, 2mm size.

I had Southdown so it was very fine, It was about 4" deep in the spot he picked and his foot went all the way to the bottom glass.
I kept mine under 175w MH with 95w VHO actinics.
Your lighting should keep it happy.
I didn't have a lot of flow because of the southdown, I would guess I had around 1800gph in the 125
I put him in the tank and he went over to the far corner and seemed happy where there was the least ammount of flow.
He never moved from that spot the whole time I had him.

Make sure you buy the optional ScotchGuard feature. Keeps those nasty stains off your carpet...anenome.

Its crazy they shipped it dry.

It seamed to work. He is doing well. He ate two large pieces of krill last night. Responded quickly to the krill.
