Getting Clam To Sit Upright.

Hi fellow reefers, I just added a maxium clam to my system about 2 weeks now, and it has been doing quite well. When I first placed it in the sand bed, I had it upright with the mantle nicely rise up. However, after a few hrs, it kinda move itself to itside, so i let it be. What can I do have the clam sit upright? I was thinking of place it between two rocks until is fully secure then removing the rock. Is this a good idea? input please.

Put a small piece of rock or shell under it, they prefer to have a hard surface to hold on to.

MY Clam is about 5" or so. and is base is very round and curvey. What kind of shell should I use, and how be of a shell or rock?
