Getting Clowns To Switch Anemone's

Hey
Ive had my Bubble Tip Anemone for 6 months now and its been doing real well The thing is, ive seen a lovely Rose Bubble at my LFS and i love it!
My clowns started to host my current BTA after 5 mins of being added to the tank, so im confident that they will accept this anemone.
So, if i were to add the new anemone into a nice crevice, then leave it a week before i remove my current one (unless theres any problems, ill remove it sooner), do you reckon the Clowns will host in the new one? Or do they like host in one anemone for life?
I cant see what would be wrong as they will have their current nem in the tank as well as the new one, so ill remove the old one when they start hosting in the new one.

Sound like a good plan?

To remove an anemone off a rock, ive heard you run your finger nail under its foot. Is there an easier way as i obviously dont want to hurt it

I don't see why they wouldn't eventually take up residence in the new one... but you can never guarantee it. If it were me and I really didn't want both - I would make sure they have found the new one before removing the old... Is there a reason you don't want to have two BTA's in the tank I'm assuming?

Size of the tank to be honest with you. Its perfect for one BTA but two...i coubt it.
So ill get it, leave their current one in the tank and then remove it when they take up residence in the new one
THanks for that

The clowns will probably begin moving back an forth between anemones pretty quick. Sometimes clowns will live in many different anemones at the same time. Especially BTA's. I don't think you will have a problem getting them to switch.

I don't use my fingernail to remove anemones. It's to easy to harm them like that. I simply use the soft part of the end of my finger, and rub right where the foot meets the rock. Eventually the anemone will let go in that spot, and I slide my finger under the anemone, very slowly, causing the anemone to let go. I don't pull the anemone off the rock. I just keep tickling its foot until it lets go. This can be a slow process, and you can't take a break, but I have never harmed an anemone by removing it like this. You just need a lot of patience.

Well the anemone is in the tank. I have removed their old one from its spot...which was hard work, with the female biting at you constantly! But i carefully removed it from the rock.
I have put the new one in the old anemones position and the Clowns are expressing interest in it..they were a little shocked at first but they seem fine now
