Getting erectus converted to frozen mysis

Hello all. I have had dwarf seahorses for some time now. I have recently received my first pair of erectus from www.ccritters.com. I am currently feeding them live mysids, and would like to know what the easiest/quickest way to convert them to frozen. Any suggestions?

If you got them from Dana then they are wild caught and may not take to frozen. What I would suggest is trying in the morning, when they are the most hungry, to drop a couple pieces in front of them in the water column and just wait and see. Keep trying, and hopefully they will try one. You could also soak the mysis in garlic to make it more appealing.

One a side note, if they are WC, then I would deworm them if you haven't already done so.

We would love to see pics...

Yep, they are WC from Dana. My plans are to feed the live mysids from a turkey baster in front of them directly. The mysids fly out but hoping the seahorses see that. Then work in some frozen utilizing a push/pull with the baster to "fake" live ones and hope they catch on.

Garlic? I seen something about it. Should I just add some kitchen garlic powder to a cup of water and soak them? Or ground fresh garlic? How much and how long to soak?

Thanks for all the help!

I am not sure about powder or fresh. I used a garlic liquid that is sold at fish stores or on line made my Kent
