getting new rbta and gsm this weekend- questions...

I am getting a rbta with a hosting gsm. The anenome is approx 9 inches across and the clown is approx 4 inches. They have been together for 2 years. I am also getting the rock the anenome is on. My questions; should I transport them together or seperate them? It will be appox a 1 hour drive back home.
When I put them into my tank - which should I put in first?

I am trying to match the tank conditions as best I can as far as the amount of flow. Our tanks have the same salinity - the anenome is under 4x65 watt pc lighting in a 75 and I have 440 watt of vho in a 75. It sits in the lower 1/3 of his tank so I thought I ought to put it as low as I can in my tank.

Does all this sound right???? I am really hoping it will not walk around. He said it has been on this rock for over a year. What do all you guys/gals think. Am I going about this the right way??? Any suggestion you may have would be greatly appreciated.

Salt, I would transport them seperately and make sure the rock is stable in a bucket so that it won't turn over and squash the anemone.
They should be fine seperated on the trip home.
Be sure to acclimate them slowly and good luck.
Post some pictures when they are in there new home.

Thanks - I'll take seperate containers to transport them.
Do you think I need to do anything about the lighting difference? Or is that more just when putting something under mh lights for the first time?
And which one should I put in the tank first?

sorry for all the questions - I just want to do this the best way possible, with the least amount of stress to both creatures.

Does'nt matter which one goes in first.
Acclimate them and put them in at the same time, the clowns will find there home soon enough
As for the lights, they are going to be under MH?
If so expect the anemone to move around a bit and hide from it until it is used to it.
I would put the rock with the anemone in a dark place on the bottom of your tank.
Try to turn it around so that the anemone is out of the light.
When he adjusts to it , which may take up to a week, he will turn or come out from hiding.
But if he is under MH now, he will be just fine.

won't make too much difference. He might want to be a little higher up in your tank. When you put him in prop his rock up against another to make a little cave with his foot inside the cave if it can be made stable that way. Also, be sure to anemone-proof your powerheads/overflow.

If you are driving to pick the anemone up then make sure to take as much water as you can. It will dilute any toxins and make the move less stressful. I like the 5 gallon buckets w/ lids from Home Depot myself. Make sure to leave some air in the bucket too though (about 1/4 of the bucket should just be air IMHO). I wouldn't worry about the VHO lighting being too strong for a BTA. It will probably climb to the top of your rock work in a couple of weeks.

put the bta in first for about five minutes to give it time to settle in before the clown comes and thrashes into him.

Well both the gsm and the rbta arrived safely to their new home saturday. The clown swam around checking out his new digs for 10-15 minutes then swam into the anenome. He hangs pretty close to anenome but does leave and swim around for several minutes. The anenome is getting bigger but has not gotten as big as it was in it's original tank. I guess it may take a few days before the stress of moving wears off. Both are eating so I think they are acclimating pretty well. The new gsm has either not noticed or does not care about the false perc in the tank. I am watching closely to make sure the smaller false perc doesn't get beat up too bad. I'm hoping maybe they will pair up. I think they would make a cool looking pair.
I just wanted to say thanks to those that gave me advise on moving and getting these new additions into my tank.
I will try and post some pics later in the week.
