Getting polyps to stick

My friend gave me some polyps for my tank but I'm having problems getting them to stick to the rock.

I know you can use rubberbands but I'm afraid I'm going to kill them since they ae so small.

And if I just place them in the tank chances are they are going to get sucked into the filter

Any other suggestions, besides glue too, or is glue the only way.

You can try putting a mesh over the corals at the spot where you want them to stick. I've done that before with good success.

With polyps or shrooms I get a shallow bowl and put rubble in it.Put the polpys or shrooms in the bowl with the rubble and place it in a low flow area or your sump. After a week or two they will attach to the rubble and you can then glue them to rocks.Hope this helps :)

Im with cosmo if you dont want to do the glue thing. I always use glue and it works good. just find a little dimple in the rock and fill it with glue and stick them in there.
