I have xenia growing on my rock. I dont want it there, i like my xenia on the back wall of my tank out of the way so it doesnt take over my tank. I know this stuff will spread like wild fire if i dont get it off my rock i tried to just peel it off but it wouldnt come up. any ideas??

Get some frag clippers and clip the rock just below the base of the xenia. If you do it right (and get lucky), you can get the xenia loose and not take away much rock. Have done this many times and has worked great for me. Then you can sell, or most likely give away the xenia clumps. Maybe your LFS will give you a small credit for healthy xenia. Good luck and watchout with those clippers!

There is an easier way. After you cut the xenia off, mix up some putty and just put it over what's left on the rock. Or you can use the aiptasia methods of kalk, joe's juice, etc.

If you keep your xenia trimmed on your back wall that should do the job. And as far as the xenia on your rock; if you can take the rock out without taking your rock structure apart, then you can take your rock to LFS and sell it to them and say since the xenia is on the rock do you mind trading for another rock that i can put back in my tank. Many people do this at our store. If you don't want to do that than you will have to frag the xenia off of the rock. But it will probably grow back on your rock sooner or later.
