getting scratches out of acrylic

just like the title says, wondering what the best way to go about it would be?

The best way to get scratches out of acrylic is to use wet automotive sandpaper in different grits depending on how deep the scratches are. Make sure you keep the sandpaper flat when sanding so you dont make doimples in the arylic.If very deep start with a 400 if not so deep 800 then progress to finer and finer grit all the way to 1500 or 2000. Than the tank needs to be polished with a buffing wheel and novis plastic polish to restore the lustre to the acrylic. Hope this helps.

this is a fun activity .. i buffed my old 150g 2 times ... what a PITA.

your best bet is picking up a micro surface kit . depending on how deep, and how much you have to refinish.
