Getting some sally light foots out of tank

Short of tearing my tank apart, does anyone have any recommendations on how to get 3-5 large sally light foots out of a tank. Any traps that work? I had a nice juvi chevron for 6 weeks and it disappeared one night. I have also noticed a scratch on my rabbit and kole. I think one of these guys is attacking at night while the fish sleep. Most fish are too large to matter, but I am not adding another juvi chevron until I can get these crabs out and into my refugium.

I used formula 1 and a small piece of shrimp. I put some netting in there to make him feel at home.

I will give it go for awhile. A trigger will eliminate all my snails and hermits as well. I would like to avoid that route.

Could always take those out and put into refug before adding a temporary trigger. I'll keep everyone posted.

Got one...the trick worked last night. Moved the glass a little farther under a ledge and sure enough this morning there was a large sally in it. I moved him to the refugium. Need to get 2 - 3 more out. Hopefully, I'll grad another one tonight. Thanks for the tip.

Excellent!

I take no credit as I heard about it from another reefer. I just did the wonderful graphics... keeping my day job though.

I knew it would work when I heard of it because my mother used a similar trick when we were kids to get escaped hamsters back in their cage. She would use a 10 gallon aquarium and a stack of books. She made a ramp with books up to the top of the cage and put food and water in the 10 gal. The rats would walk up hte ramp and fall in the tank. In a day or two she would always get her rat! I have since used that same trick to catch my kid's hamster.
