Getting stingray to eat.

I believe he has a tank but I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a lot of this stuff up to get us all worked up. if you look at a lot of his threads...he starts them, stirs the pot a little and then disappears. much like what he's done here and the other thread he started about his tang problem.

I could see how he could potentially work for the money. At 13 I was working my bum off. Since I was like 7, I've saved 90% of all my income. So the money I do get to spend on wants was only 10% of my earnings. As it stands I get to spend about $100-$150(paid internship, mod development, soon enough the youtubes) per week, back when I bred betta fish, my average was around $300 a week(though I saved most of that too). I still mow yards and shovel snow for gas money, and I'm hoping to get a job at a local book store. Honestly, if I didn't save most of my monies I could pull off some really cool fish tanks. Maybe DMK does this to, or maybe his parents just buy him things, or maybe he is a really good investor(older brother to the e-trade baby perhaps?). Either way, he is the one that is ending up with the fish...While I'm just trying to earn myself a future.

That is an extreme possibility. But we can avoid much of the drama if we don't feed these thoughts. If he truly is trolling, then our reactions are what he is going for. Thus, instead of creating drama, and feeding the troll, we should simply lay out the facts. And leave it at that.

For example, I believe the majority of us think he should return the stingray. So, if we all say "Return the stingray, for this reason" Then he won't get any of the drama and maybe the point will finally be understood and a newbie who might come across this thread may be presented the same opportunity to buy a stingray and he may thing "Oh, I can't one because of ...". By doing so, we prevent drama, we may save fish lives, and we may educate passerbyers.
If he isn't trolling, then we all get the point across, with no drama. If he is, we still get a point across and due to the lack of drama, we avoid feeding the troll.

Hey the ray is doing great. He only eats gost shrimp. The shark is also good.the new tank is done and should be here next week. Im in belieze right now. And my dad got the tank for me because he like fish.
 
Not a waste of time I am curious about stingrays and you guys in this obsurdity have actually taught me things about rays. I love them but I think I want to many other kinds of fish to have a stingray.

This, is exactly the kind of post that makes these threads dramatic. No thread is done so long as its not locked, period. I don't want to single you out, but really, be the bigger person. Though we have reached a conclusion, why is DMK not allowed to update us on it's progress? If he has it eating, then its eating. Obviously, he's not going to take it back at this point, despite our advice. And there is still the chance that it doesn't exist. But either way, the only people allowed to tell us not to post are mods and admins. I don't mean to further any drama from this post, but the rest of us need to understand that if we continue to make irrelevant posts we make, one of two things that happen. A) If DMK is legit, he will get a thread full of drama, and few answers. Of which, he could potentially ignore, because who wants to take advice from a bunch of drama queens?, or B) If he is trolling, then he has succeeded. So, I don't ask that you stop posting in this thread, but rather, post things that will not be detrimental to the community. $.02 , Thank you

Not trying to start an argument but the title is getting stingray to eat, not progress with Cortez stingray. We already adressed the situation of eating, so he should start a new thread about the progress of his ray.

Two people asked the same question, and he gave them a straight answer. I don't know what you're complaining about. It is his thread, and if you dislike that people are still posting in it, on a public forum, then just don't open this thread again. I see threads get way further off topic than this one has, its all still about the same subject, so why start a whole new thread just to say "Its eating ghost shrimp", and maybe later "Its eating frozen mysis".


SPotter: A thread does not have to be locked for you to move on with it. I see little reason as to why it should be locked, other than a good majority of the posters are convinced he is trolling. But again, even if he is, these irrelevant posts are just detrimental. kilze1's post nailed it on the head. S/he learned something despite the dramatic mess. I sound like a broken record, but if we cut the drama, maybe people will learn something, and maybe if DMK is trolling, then said trolling will stop. If he is not, then he may start learning about his mistakes and how to fix them, rather than hear about trolling or this or that.

Its ok meus. I know it may seem like i was trolling. I fyou look back i wasnt o. Rc for a while. I had computer problems. Sorry for all the drama. I do appreciate all the helpful advice given.

By no means are I defending you. Though a lack of pictures doesn't instantly mean you are trolling, there are some times I wonder. And pictures can't hurt your cause. Its really not that difficult, you can take a picture with your phone and text it to an email address, download it and then chose said downloads in the attachment area of RC's reply to thread page.. You aren't the cause of the drama, you are merely a substrate for it. What I'm asking people to do is only post advice, and that you listen to the advice. IMO, you should not have bought this fish, and many people urged you to take it back. Again just my $.02, though by the time I'm done throwing pennies at this thread we'll have a dollar of my thoughts, pay up suckers.:lol:
