GFO and the Group Buy Question

I got in on the group buy in order to begin utilizing the Phosban 150 reactor that came with my 90rr. I also have a 54rr which I will be adding the BRS reactor to. I have been using the "in bag" stuff from the LFS.

My questions are:
1: About how much should I buy expecting to last for about 3 months?
2: Which product? GFO Granulated or Pellets?

I believe answer 2 will affect answer 1?

I already have bulk carbon that I would like to have in the top portion of the reactor separated from the GFO in the bottom. I believe this works?

I purchased the GFO from BRS in this group buy. There is very helpfull video that will answer all your questions. TBH I don't remember all the details but I based my purchased on that video and what it was explaining.

The video is right on the BRS website under the GFO object.

Reactor size affects the amount used each time.
With high phosphates it can be used up quickly, and feeding adds phosphates.
A TLF 150 reactor uses 1/3 pound each fill up.
GFO should be "tumbled slowly" I would use it alone without carbon.
Pellets are "dusty" & granular is alot cleaner but higher in price, both work.
