GFO on my sandbed

I have a 150 gallon setup with about 120 pounds of fine aragonite sand. I recently started using the standard brs gfo and it was so fine in some areas that is got through the foam and into my return section of the sump and into my sand. Now I have a good amount on my sand and it looks just like dirt on my sand. Other people I ask say I'm crazy for letting such a small amount bother me but I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my tank. I tried to siphon done out but it's not in one clump so it's difficult to go across the entire sandbed. So what I'm asking is, will the gfo on my sand effect the tank at all? I planned on buying more dry sand and putting an extra layer ontop of it just so it's not as noticeable. Would I be okay with doing that? Much help is appreciated. Thank you!

No it won't cause any issues. I ran my gfo reactor with way to much flow through it which caused it to beat against itself. Anyways when I got up in the morning there was a fine brown dust on everything! I freaked out and asked the same question and was assured nothing negative would happen. And sure enough no issues. You'll be fine.

Also it seems like your either not rinsing it well enough or your putting to much flow through the reactor. Besides that one time I've never seen any gfo dust on anything.
