GFO questions

hello all,
I recently upgraded to a 125 gallon tank and i made the mistake of using my old sandbed. From stirring it up I have gotten quite and algae bloom. I generally use gfo from bulk reef supply and run a very low nutrient system. I need to get a large quantity of phos remover since i made such a huge jump in tank size and just dont have that much gfo laying around. I also run chemi pure elite which combines carbon and gfo. I have the chemi pure bag that treats up to 200 gallons and its great but its more crbon than gfo so obviously i need to run gfo as well. I currently have enough gfo in the sump for 75 gallons thats all i had left at the time of the upgrade. I am getting ready to place an order on drs foster and smith thanks to some xmas giftcards and figured id get gfo from there. I was going to go with phosban or rowaphos but I came across drs foster and smith brand granular ferric hydroxide and it was much cheaper. I have never used this and so I figured id turn to you guys here on rc to get your thoughts. Is it a good product and does it compare to brs gfo. I take my tank chemistry very seriously and have been just about algae free for a good while after battling a significant algae issue. Its a little disheartening to have an algae problem again after such a long time of pristine water quality but i wanna nip it in the bud now before i have any real problems so id like to get my gfo ordered tonight. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or reviews you guys may have on this product.

I haven't use Dr fosterandsmith brand for GFO. I'm currently using Rowaphos. Rowaphos are expensive, but BRS supply GFO is probably your best bang for the buck.
