Gfo rust in reactor

So I'm a moron and left some gfo and water in a brs reactor for about 8 months. I've cleaned it well but there's still some rusty colored plastic. I'm starting to run carbon now and want to use it. Will there be any ill effects?

Nope. You'd have more iron coming out of the gfo itself than the plastic in the reactor. I mean, don't use the water, but the reactors fine. Especially since you're running carbon in it. Rust is very stainy, I used a binder clip to hold a filter sock in place a long time ago and it's still discolored at that spot despite weekly bleaching. If there was anything dangerous to come out of gfo we'd know by now

Logically I knew that, but all this info on forums makes ya second guess yourself so I asked. Thanks for the reply! [emoji1303][emoji482]
