GFO turned black...

I switched out my regular BRS GFO yesterday for BRS High Capacity GFO. I went from 2 and a half cups down to about 3/4 cup, but the high capacity turned black over night. I have it tumbling a little more in the reactor, but haven't increased the about of part 1 or part 2 dripped in (which enters the system down stream of the GFO). Is this bad? Is it no longer effective? Many thanks for your time!
