Nice one!

Thanks, Aaron. Beautiful shots as usual. So few people keep hippo clams that I really take notice when one shows up and doubly so for one that's obviously thriving. And I have a soft spot for solitary corals like fungiids, herpoliths, etc. Thanks for posting.

It's only the second Hippo I've seen in the flesh, I got it very cheap as well. I've had to crank the doser up though.

Tank is using 1.3 dKH per day currently.

Aaron your tank is stunning. Your FTS is beautiful to say the least.

Thanks for sharing :)

Thank you Al. :)

Cool shot!
Btw, I switched out my led pucks two nights ago.
It was unbelievably easy!!
I like the new look.
Almost time to start stocking my tank :)

Somebody with a little DIY knowledge (not me) could make a pretty amazing sump light with the old led clusters..
Anybody tried anything yet?

I haven't taken a shot with the new LEDs in.. The problem with making comparisons is that depending in the time of day and the light project, the lights may look completely different or exactly the same.
I think that with either set of LEDs, one could make the tank look exactly the same by playing with the light mixture.. The main difference, I assume, is that the 6200 led clusters just have an ability to produce a greater amount of blue if wanted..
Personally, that's what I wanted..
The replacent of the yellow diode and one of the red diodes with more white/blue isn't dramatic to the eye, but it will provide a much higher K potential..
This is my opinion, not necessarily fact..

The 6200 allows for easier colour balancing more in the blue tones. Due to the majority of reefers in North America wanting to have clear access to the Blue temp the 6200 is now the standard model for North America, but of course the 6100 can be ordered as a special order same as the 6000 for fresh water tanks.
