GHL Mitras Club

Cheers for the info.

I had the lights over my 4x2x2 for about a year before swapping tank. I think before I was running to intense and getting photo inhibition. 80% in ho and using not much whiter

I'm at 55% in HE now and looks way to bright when I go to a lower Kelvin trying other peoples light runs.

What K is that video taken at you posted ?

sorry, just wanna ask.i have 4 mitras 6100 hv. i already have download gcc but cannot connect my mitras to gcc.the port not showed up.i use window 7 64 bit.any one can help me?

If you do not see "GHL Virtual Communications" listed in Device Manager when the Mitras is connected via USB, then you will have to manually install the driver.

Here's how to do it:

1. Go to "This PC" and select your hard drive
2. Double-click on "Program Files x86"
3. Double-click on "GHL Control Center Vxxx" *Your newest version of GCC
4. Double-click on "Driver"
5. Select "dpinst_x86" or x64 and follow the install prompts.

Once that is done, you can go back to GCC and connect.

Make sure that you either have the Mitras connection in GCC either set to Auto or match the COM number of the GHL comm. driver.

Just upgraded my 24" cube 10 days ago to the new reefer 525 XL with 2 Mitras 6200HV.
love the lights and the tank.
I am looking for projects or ideas on how to set the lights.
the tank is a mix reef with some SPS.
thank you all ;)

Tank looks great, I recently reset my entire system after moving and used the project that the lights come with and just tweaked them a little. Whenever I get the time to open my PC (only used for the mitras) I will send it over.

Did you reduce intensity in the beginning?
I am switching from t5 which I loved but since heat is an issue here in Israel and chiller is not an option I switched to LEDs. Radions were my first consideration but after research I figured these were better and I like to be different. I have the only Mitras in the country as far as I know.
The spread is awesome, the only issue for me is those black lines when taking photos, they come out crappy.

Thank u marco.i wonder if mitras can use for 180cm x 80cm x 60 cm tank full sps? I hang 3 mitras on there.acro get brownish now but some acro dont.

Personally I run a 150 x 55 x 50 and have 2x 6200's over my tank - though I run a mixed reef.
I would think that with 3x you should be pretty well covered. Do you have a picture of your rock layout?

I think you will notice a color change in some of your coral - I know mine changed a lot going from Kessil 360we to the LX6200.

  • What intensity are your lights set? HE or HO
  • How many hours are they on
  • Did you use a preset spectrum, or build your own?
  • Can you share your file? I have a few I could send you if you wanted.

Shoot me your email address in a PM and I'll forward you my project. It's a lot easier if you connect to the computer and upload the project. From there you can make adjustments to your liking. My tank is predominantly SPS. The light color during peak time is 10-11k so it's not too blue. I searched around and tried many projects. This one is the one I like the best.

I just did this yesterday. You have to set the right COM instead of using the "auto" option. The COM number is in the device manager for the GHL virtual com. Mine is 4.
