These are neat looking lights. I am already invested in another manufacturer, but the puck spacing on these looks like it addresses some of the coverage issues.
Hi Marco,
do you think that one 6200hv fixture would be fine for a 24" x 24" x 24" cube?
I'd think it would be fine but wanted your opinion.
it's a mixed reef (lps/sps)
thanks in advance
Tivo
Tivo - Yes, one fixture would cover your 24x24 cube fine. I'm actually contemplating setting up another 24x24x24 cube ... If I do, i'll post up.
Hi guys
I have a 42x30x30inch sps reef tank currently lit by an ati hybrid.
I want to change to full led. I have a ghl profilux computer so was looking at these lights.
My tank is odd, because the front 6inches sits in a wall so from above it can only be lit 24inch front to back
Also the tank has 3inch bars across the rim of the tank. So in essence my corals are placed in a 38x24 footprint and about 20-24" DEEP.
How many units would I need, I was hoping one would be enough but not sure because of the width and depth.
Could someone please advise
I think you would do well with 2 lights. GHL is relasing newer version Mitras lx7 this fall, so maybe it would be good idea to wait a while![]()
Thank you, I spoke to the retailer in the UK.
Currently the prices have dropped on the 6200 because of the new lights. They are now £200 cheaper per unit.
So I would end up saving £400 (~$700) if I purchase the 6200 now.
Im not sure how much the lx7200 would cost.
I am currently running an ATI hybrid but want to go full LED now....
whats people's thoughts?
OK, just an update. Pulled the trigger on a pair of LX6200s for my 54 x 40 x 22; they're going to (hopefully) replace a Vertex Illumina SR360 with auxiliary pads.
You'll love them! I just spoke with Luke @ Premium Aquatics, they have them in stock in both Silver and Black.

Any updates?
I'm having a real hard time deciding between the mitras and the t5 ati sunpower. Every time I lean toward the mitras I think about programming that thing and I'm not very computer savvy. Ghl needs to really post a detailed, user friendly video for the light composer and control center.
I've seen the quick video by the British fellow but a more comprehensive one would be way better.
