Are these to be used to help keep T5 bulbs cool or just the general temperature of the tank?
Also what are the dimensions in H and W for this equipment?

They can be used for any purpose but they do a fantastic job of keeping heat from the surface of a tank.

Size depends on what model you go for. You have 3-4-5 fan models.

Am I correct in that the I Bars do not come with fans?
So I am thinking I need to cool the bulbs to get the best PAR and lifespan possible.

I can answer this for you.

No they do not come with fans, they are just an I bar with all the electronics built in to make them plug and play dimmable. Oh and L brackets.

They are a great option for keeping the light heat off the water surface but you should also look at a cooling method for room ambient heat that warms the tank up also

I am not so much worried about the heat added to the system from the lights.

My concern is that with T5's, if the bulbs are not properly cooled the amount of PAR is significantly reduced as is the lifespan of the bulbs.
