GHL RS232 Splitter

Can anyone advise, are you able to split the single RS232 socket into two so having a socket for the remote display panel and a socket for the PC to plug into and run them both at the same time, seems a little strange that to run the remote display you have to plug into the same socket as the display will need to be plugged into?

Also does the display unit normally come with a manual as i just got mine and it does not have any manuals ect?

Typically this can be done on RS-232 lines and I have done it in
the past on other hardware, but I don't think there is a cable for
the profilux to do this.

I was thinking of making one, easy to do just need to check there was no issues with doing this i could think of.

be careful here, I’m not sure how well the software has been tested to run 2 commands at the same time (one from the display one from the client), I know the buss supports having a initiator but I’m not convince it would work at a 100%... even with connecting with a usb/lan card and a serial...

there are tone of them online if you are really interested in trying them... they are called repeter.

Why not just get the GHL USB card to connect your PC to the controller? They are cheap.

You can NOT split the GHL RS232 cable as the lines run multi commands
