Ghl software

Just wondering if GHL will be updating its software?
I look at the Neptune Fusion coming out and it looks really good, is GHL going to do something soon.

GHL updates their firmware at least 3-4 times per year.
And best thing about it is that they DO NOT charge a penny for them!

Thats great, but it is very old looking and techno guys like lots of color and ease of use.

I thought the fusion software was free anyway, who charges for the software?

GHL are moving towards web based software however this takes time, GHL never rush anything so you are not left with a buggy mess.

If you look at the current recently launched update and then go to the webserver you will get an indication as to the direction GHL are heading.

GHL are known for spending more of their time building controllers and equipment that last the test of time and have unheard of warranties. I personally would rather wait a while for a funky interface and have a rock solid hardware platform.

Sure i have no issues with the reliability, mine has been perfect with no issues over the years. Big Plus on this for GHL.

However it would be great if time was spent on the software as it is really something that has been lacking for so long, but great that things are moving ahead in this direction.

This is the worst ever investment I have made for my aquarium. Spent more than 1600 euros for the ultimate set and modules. The web server never works and also the email notification also the same.

Email works fine, i quess it is your set up that is the problem not GHL.

How do you have it set up

Webserver works fine too, sounds like you have not seeked any support in regards to understanding networking a controller. may I suggest you go to www.aquariumcomputer.com and post your support questions there.

Screaming on a public forum does not really create a good support path, so lets get you up and running properly, look forward to seeing you over on the GHL support forum

I understand it can be VERY challenging at the beginning to get it going and set up the way you expect it.
Go to the other forum and you WILL get guidance and answers to your questions. Once you get over the first hurdle of understanding HOW it works, it's the BEST controller out there.
