I also decided to sell this guy too and maybe buy a zebra eel down the line or something. Not sure on the exact size but 18+ inches.
I am feeding him silversides and I do have him in the tank with 3 shrimps which he never touches or comes close too so I can say he is reef safe. It probably will eat Small thin fish that will fit in its mouth like the silversides. I have a domino damsel and cleaner wrasse in my tank which he hasn't touched.
Asking 60$. pm if interested.

Not sure how I will get him out if anyone decides to buy but I will figure it out then :)

bump for the night. open to trades, looking for tangs or angels. can trade a fish or 2 for one if the price is high.

I am slightly interested, but I have a few questions:

How long have you had him? Do you have a top on your tank? I have a top but I have about 1 inch width exposed in the back.

I have an unwanted mantis shrimp in my tank. He came in some LR I got a long time back and I have been unable to get him out. He is about 2 inches. Would there be any problems here? Could the eel search out and kill the mantis?

I have a blue hippo tank I could offer if I made the deal (if interested in the fish). He is about 3-4 inches. Good health, strong eater, but I worry that soon he will outgrow my 75 (which leads me to the last question)......

Is a 75 even big enough for an eel this size?
 
I have had him for about 5 months now. I do have a canopy on my tank but the entire back area is exposed because of all the filters and wires. If you have enough hiding places, it should be fine but its still not a 100%. I just had luck with this guy so far staying in my tank :)

I had one before too in my 55 gallon. I had to sell him later on because I was tearing down the tank. I would say this guy is reef safe. I have 3 small shrimps in my tank roughly 2-3 inches that he hasn't tried eating yet. They have been in the tank before I got the eel. I feed him only silversides.

As for the hippo tang, I already have a blue hippo tang in my tank. I think it would be fine in a 75 gallon.
