Guys, I need to do a tank swap soon (I want a new glass tank, and need a new stand due to the old one having a lot of rust).
I am not getting out of the hobby, but I really need to condense my tanks, fish and corals into one easier to maintain system (and try to keep this one pest free).
I think I am going to do all the transfer during the xmas break. So if you are interested in anything let me know. I will keep my spare 55 setup to hold fish/corals/rock that isn't going in the new tank, to give people time to arrange pickup, etc...
-- I need to get rid of the following fish:
-----------------------------------
Huge Tomato clown (female) - 8+ years old - very aggressive, tends to move sand around, would be great in a huge system or a fish only system. Is reef safe except for being mean to other fish and the sand digging.
Eibli angelfish - a beautiful dwarf angel - 5+ years old - agressive, killed some chromis once, does nip at corals. I would not consider this fish reef safe unless the system was huge with lots of other things to eat.
Scribbled Rabbitfish - A nice looking fish, but he is very skinny as he doesn't compete for food well. He also eats zoanthids (but not palys) and has been seen to nip at corals, so keep that in mind. He does need to be fattened up.
I would be willing to trade (anything reef related) for the fish, not really looking for money, just good homes for these three.
-- corals --
I also have a bunch of corals that have to go before the tank swap (will be no room as it will be 2 tanks into 1). These are from the pest free softie tank.
- Rock of Mint Melt Palys - $10
- Rock of yellow zoanthids - $5
- Some pink sinularia (colt coral) - $2
- Purple death frag (5-6 polyps) - $5
- Some GSP (on a rock) - $5
- Blue death paly frag (15+ polyps) - $5
- Green birdsnest frags - $3 ea
-- Rocks ---
I will probably ditch at least 60-80lbs of rock when I do the tank swap. I will need to get rid of it quick so I am thinking $1 per lb for the ugly pieces, $2 per lb for the nice ones...
-- What i need (for trades, etc) ---
Peppermint shrimp
Skunk Cleaner shrimp
Carbon
ARM media (the big kind)
A new net (big enough for a decent sized yellow tang)
Light hanging hardware
- other reef items - let me know what you have
I'll take pictures, add stuff to this thread over the next few days, fish/corals, etc will be first come first served (unless held with paypal).
- Thanks,
MikeT
