I have a Amplexidiscus fenestrafer (elephant ear mushroom i beleive) and it's been eating my fish. To date I've lost a few wrasse, 2 cardinal, 2 gobies...

But I really like the guy. He's so pretty...

I'm thinking about using a second to hold my Dardanus megistos who's outgrown the sump so why not throm in the mushroom.

I'm pretty sure the hermit will be safe from the shroom, but what about a valentini puffer? My GF always wanted one, but I'm scared thet the shroom might eat it. The puffer should surely defend himself by biting no?

What do you guys think?

Is the puffer safe with the hermit and the mushroom?

Mushrooms sting and wrap around things, the puffer might not be able to escape. I'd say no. Maybe just keep the mushroom somewhere else.

Here's a pic of what I have.

Are they just big mushrooms?

Those are just regular mushrooms. Enjoy your goby. I miss mine :(

that said, if your goby takes ill (ich or flukes, etc) the mushrooms you have will have no issues with eating him"¦even if he won't fit in their mouths, the mushroom will eat it anyway, and likely kill itself doing so. don't worry mushrooms grow very fast. you will have a new one in no time...
