Back in 2014/2015 sometime they became a distributor for Giesemann. You can read about it online, I've even confirmed with Giesemann themselves.

8 weeks ago, I decided to get an Aurora fixture. BRS/CoralVue pricing was too high and didn't offer bulbs or hanging kit. I figured, I wasn't in a hurry, so I'd go to the source. Looking on http://www.giesemann.de/ , I was able to find the light info, but nowhere to purchase.

I did find: https://************.com/2015/01/06/giesemannuk-launched-offer-balanced-pricing-uk-europe/ , linking to a UK distributor for Giesemann.

Bingo bango, they sell the light, and include a hanging kit and bulbs at no cost. I place the order. a few days go by and I don't even get an email confirming my order. I email them with no response, so I open a paypal dispute.

At this time the seller contacts me and says that they're moving websites and their order system and email have been down, but my order is being prepared and will ship within 4 weeks, but could I please remove the dispute so they can proceed.

So I wait....4 weeks go by and I ask for shipping info, get a response that they'd get an update from manufacture and get back to me. That was April 4th....they've gone ghost.

I contact Giesemann direct and they say Simmon isn't responding to them and they have no recent orders from them, but I can purchase through them direct?? yeah, let me just come up with ANOTHER 1600 bucks.

I don't panic at this time, I head over to PP and try and open a dispute, nope. Only one per transaction. I email/call and get someone who doesn't even look into it, just says, you only get one dispute and you closed it.
I let them know that dispute was for COMMUNICATION on order. She says doesn't matter, nothing they can do.

Seller obviously knows PP's stance on disputes and knows Im SOL.

here are more of Simon's scam sites.

Most of you won't go searching overseas for better pricing, but if you do, DON'T go there, and as far as PP goes, my advice is don't open a dispute until you are to the point of wanting out of the deal.

As for me, I'm going to get new bulbs for my PacSun, lick my wounds, and tell my wife Cory (mxreefer) stole my money.

I had funds in PP from transactions that were used. Moving forward, I'll only deal with PP through a CC account

Rule #1, always use CC on ANY purchase through paypal. If you have funds, withdraw, then pay with CC. its a no brainer.
Rule#2, never listen to a seller's request for disputes unless you get what you paid for.

Did you try to escalate it to the next level of customer service at PayPal? A $1,600 wound is a tough one to lick! Definitely thanks for the warning!

Like you, I was looking to purchase a Gisemann Fixture (Matrixx in my case). I emailed Simon about pricing on these fixtures, and he responded that they do not ship to the US because of the 220v on their fixtures. He told me to contact CoralVue. I ended up ordering my 110v fixture from a German company that I have dealt with in the past with great success.

Damn man. That sucks. I would ask for a manager at PP and keep going higher if they keep saying "sorry, can't help you" and yes, blame cory for it...

That really sucks. I know you have learned the lesson here but to all others, do as flyhigh says and do not listen to the seller until the matter is resolved. These scammers know the rules and loopholes and that is how they get you. If you do not receive a product in 2 weeks, something is up and file a claim. The claim only stays open for a certain amount of time, these sellers know this and usually communicate a lot during this time. Once you pass that time frame, they go ghost.

This. I've had something similar happen and if if you keep climbing the chain, they 'manage' to do something for you... I'm sorry to hear about this. I really hope you get it resolved.

Cory owns the website. He used your funds to go to RAP and purchase more equipment to not use and store in his closet :uzi:

Really sorry to read this Jorden

Rule1: I do 100%. but I was selling things to accommodate the light purchase and taking money in PP. So when I finally did the purchase it was from PP and CC. If my wife saw 1600 on my CC, I'd be on here asking for a place to live, not crying about getting played.

as for #2, if it was a random person, absolutely but a "distributor" for a major manufacture, you have to cough up the funds before your getting anything.

It was a poorly calculated risk.
