Gig doesn't look great today, is this normal?

My gig has been looking great ever since I bought it and I have fed it bits of king prawns maybe once a week. It looked fine yesterday and I fed it a bit of prawn. When I got home today it looked like this. Is it normal? Should I be concerned?

Can you post a most recent GOOD looking picture.

What have you fed it lately? Any changes? vendor or brand/type?

Just a price of king prawn. Same batch I've been feeding it since the start and also what I give the mags

I believe the flow is fine but I just ramped it up a bit. There's a mp40 behind it deflecting off the front glass. I think it's just compacted itself so much it doesn't look like there is any flow. It doesn't look flat or deflated, just really compacted and mouth looks weird. Not loose, but insides look like it's sticking out a bit. It's my first gig so don't know what's is normal tbh

How long have you had it? It can take as long as a month to show symptoms of sickness. Also, don't worry too much about what it looks like at night, especially in the dark. If it stays like that for an extended period time during the day, then I would be concerned. Finally, have you checked for cuts marks or scars? In the photos above, look in the 12 o'clock position on the nem for any odd marks.

yes I have heard it can take many months before you know you have a healthy gig, hence I was worried at the first sign of stress and wanted to take action as soon as possible.

anyway, I didn't sleep well over night and I thought of something in my sleep (like you do...). the previous day I was playing with the light settings because I wanted to take a decent video of my tank without the colours looking really saturated and blue. It turns out that I had accidently saved the settings to the light so the following day while I was at work, the lights was around +20% stronger and a slightly different colour.

Anyway, the gig looks ok this morning so I am hoping that it was the lighting that caused it yesterday. I have changed the settings back to normal and will keep an eye on it.

I was never one who believe in long distance warfare between anemone species. However, I actually not put Magnifica in my Gigantea system anymore. Later on I may try some more but for now I separate my Magnifica and Gigantea.

Glad to hear it is doing good...

Any updated pictures?

Mine just started lights up a few minutes ago.

Looking much better worm. Not as expanded as normal, but about 80%
Only part of the foot attached to the rock today which is strange. Maybe yesterday's episode made it think twice about staying in the same spot?
