Gig "haircut"....

During the treatment process my new gig seems to have somehow got in between the egg crate and into a power head. The nem is keeping that part of his body very tight so its hard to get a picture. Is there anything i can do to increase the odds of survival?

I am confused by your post. Did you see/find the anemone in the powerhead? Or are you just guessing that is what happened. Because it appears to me (based on one photo) that your anemone is rotting.

I did not see it in the powerhead, just tried to make a guess as to what happened. You could be 100% right... the anemone did not pull through and rapidly got worse. I cannot figure out what exactly went wrong. the side that appeared to have all the damage was on the side the power heads were on but there was a divider in between the power heads and the nem.

My original intention was to post the "journal" of my treatment success/failure. I will post the pictures in this thread; maybe slightly more experienced keepers can sleuth something i missed.

My setup was a 20g h qt/hospital tank with 10g of water. I was changing 70% of the water with aged 24 hour temp/salinity matched water (everyday the nem was in the tank). Following the water change i was dosing 250mg cipro (once dosing was deemed necessary). Light was provided by natural sunlight and a 4 bulb t5h0 fixture. Flow was provided using 3 korelia 425 gph powerheads (2 were on an alternating wavemaker and once was constantly on). The nem was treated with cipro for 4 days, and was in the qt/hospital tank for 7 days total.

First picture is following placement in my tank, nem was sticky and the foot was stuck to the bag. However there did appear to be some of the mesenterial filaments coming out of the bottom of the foot?

Not through a hole but almost like the were coming through the flesh (i've seen this happen in elegance corals that are stressed). The two pictures after that are from 2 hours and 3 hours after being in the qt tank

These pictures are from the next night in my tank nem still appeared slightly stressed however it seemed to be slowly acclimating. There was not much difference between it's appearance at night and during the day.

Nem started showing some strange behavior (this is when i decided to administer treatment) It balled up like a BTA and then began expelling massive amounts of zoox, afterwards it appeared slightly deflated.

These pictures are when it began expelling the zoox, following the 250mg cipro per day it looked like the first two pictures (relatively healthy), they were taken a few days after it looked like this.
